Sit back and relax at the famous Cable Beach named after the submarine cable laid in 1989. Once at the southern end of Cable Beach we head to Riddell Beach, Broome's answer to the bungle bungles and a sandstone rock formation carved out over centuries. On the horizon is the newest lighthouse built in 1983. The stone chimney is all that remains today of the old lighthouse keeper's residence. On top of the cliff is Anastasia's rock pool which has been carved out over time by the sea. Now let's go back in time 130million years when the Dinosaurs roamed the earth to see Dinosaur footprints. Back aboard the bus we head to the highest point in Broome, where we take in the magnificent views of Roebuck Bay for some great photo opportunities. At the Japanese Cemetery we learn of the hard times the Japanese Pearl Divers endured. Close to China Town is where we stop at the oldest building in Broome, formerly known as Cablehouse, now the Courthouse. From there we make our way to visit the oldest operating picture gardens in the world. Through Dampier Terrace up past Streeter's Jetty we head to Matsos Brewery, stopping for a sample of the famous micro brewed beers. Onto Town Beach we talk about Broome's 1day war where at certain low tides you can walk out to the remains of the old flying boat wrecks. To cap off a great day, had by all, we head to the broome historical society for a self guided 30 min tour prior to taking you back to your final destination.
