Tarangau Caravan Park is the only caravan park in the Broome Township accepting pets, however will not be accepting dogs between June, July and August and will only accept small dogs in caravans or motorhomes.

Boarding facilities for cats and dogs are located at the Broome Veterinary Hospital (08) 9192 1319 on the corner of Cable Beach Road East and Port Drive. The boarding kennels for dogs are all undercover with individual runs. All boarders must be fully vaccinated. 10% discount of total bill for 2 or more dogs/cats in 1 kennel

The decision to not accept dogs within caravan parks is that of
the Caravan Parks, and not of the Broome Visitor Centre or Broome Shire.
The Roebuck Plains Roadhouse, located 30kms out of Broome along the Great Northern Highway accepts dogs into their campsites. If staying in a unit, the dog must be kept on a leash outside the unit. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. No noisy or aggressive dogs. $50 pet bond required.
Broome's Gateway Caravan Park and Accommodation, located 25kms from Broome on the Broome Highway also accepts pets. There are no restrictions on dog size but they will not accept pit bulls, dangerous breeds, noisy or aggressive dogs. Theya lso provide a kennel facility for travellers wanting to leave their pets for short periods. No pet bond required.
The area known as the Northern Beaches, along the Manari Rd (4WD only) has bush camping sites - dogs on leashes are allowed. It is approximately 1 hour drive from Broome and you are able to camp for up to 3 nights at each location in this area. There are no facilities at the Northern Beaches.

If all Broome caravan park occupancy becomes full overflow facilities will be available short term, and some of these overflows accept pets.
The overflow caravan parks within the Broome township will be opened only when all of the caravan parks
are full and at the discretion of the Broome Shire.
