Getting To Broome

Now you have decided to start your adventure, what’s the best way of getting here? There are different options to suit every traveller, and with an international airport on the doorstep and first class roads venturing North and South, there is no excuse not to visit this spectacular town.

BY AIR
Airnorth, Qantas, Virgin Blue and Skywest all fly to Broome and you will be surprised to find that Broome is reached directly or linked from most major capital cities around Australia. For travel between towns in the Kimberley and Pilbara regions, there are a number of local operators offering scheduled and charter flights that are able to assist with your travel requirements. Seaplanes are also available for quick transport to the remote areas of the Kimberley coast. Please contact the local, trusted and independent experts at the Broome Visitor Centre for further details.

BY ROAD
From Perth, visitors have the option of taking the inland route along the Great Northern Highway through Newman, or the North West Coastal Highway via Carnarvon and Karratha to Broome. From the east coast, Kununurra is the major eastern gateway to the Kimberley which is accessed via the Victoria Highway which links to the Stuart Highway in the Northern Territory. From Kununurra, visitors with serious 4WD vehicles have the option of branching off onto the Gibb River Road or staying on the sealed Great Northern Highway. It is recommended that only off road caravans or camper trailers be used on the Gibb River Road. The unsealed Tanami and Duncan roads connect Alice Springs in Central Australia to the Great Northern Highway at Halls Creek.

BY COACH
Greyhound Australia operates daily coach services that depart and arrive in Perth and Darwin. You can travel direct from either Perth or Darwin to Broome, or if you have a bit of time to explore, purchase a hop-on-hop-off ticket, allowing you to see all the amazing sites along the way.

Luxury tour coaches and 4WD adventure tours all visit Broome from both Darwin and Perth including regular departures from other major towns. If you would like more information, please contact the local, trusted and independent experts at the Broome Visitor Centre for further details.

BY SEA
